The mission of our "Cub Scout Time Capsule" is to find pictures of vintage Cub Scout items that were sold years ago and place them in our virtual online capsule for all to see. We also look for those classic magazine ads using Cub Scouts. We also want to provide detailed information about each item if possible. It was the Golden Era of Scouts when companies used Scouts in ads to sell their products. We try to preserve those images here at our "Cub Scouts Time Capsule"
That is me right above the cheerio box. we did this ad in 1973 when I was age 11. The ad was found in Family Circle magazine. We were paid models dressed up as cub scouts, not an actual cub scout group
